To enter, complete your submission for the contest at utcontests.com. In order to complete your registration, some users may be asked to fill out additional information before entering. No purchase is necessary. Or you can email your entry to rob.krier@utsandiego.com, or mail it to Robert Krier, Precipitation Prediction Contest, U-T San Diego, P.O. Box 120191, San Diego, CA 921120-0191. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Nov. 14. The winner will be the person who comes closest to predicting the actual rainfall total, either over or under, at Lindbergh Field between July  1, 2013, and June  30, 2014. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the person who comes closest to pinpointing the wettest calendar day of the season. One entry per person. The submission phase of the contest begins at midnight on Oct. 31, 2013, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 14, 2013.

PRIZES

­One winner will receive Four (4) two-day adult lift tickets at Arizona Snowbowl for the 2014-2015 season, plus a two-night stay at the Ski Lift Lodge & Cabins. Lift tickets are available for use Sunday- Thursdays with the exception of blackout days. Blackout periods include: Opening Day, Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas and New Year's, Presidents Day and Easter week. Cabins subject to availability; call in advance to make a reservation. The winner will be notified by email or phone following the close of the 2013-14 rainfall season, and must pick up their prize at U-T San Diego, 350 Camino de la Reina, San Diego, CA, 92108. Winners are responsible for paying all applicable local, state and federal taxes. For tax reporting purposes, winners will be required to provide legal name, address and social security number or forfeit prize. U-T San Diego is not responsible for lost or stolen prizes. All prizes are non-refundable or exchangeable and cash substitutions are not permitted. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited. U-T San Diego makes no warranty with respect to any prize and reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal of greater value. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries and votes.

ELIGIBILITY
All contestants must be registered users of UTSanDiego.com, residents of San Diego County and 18 years of age or older, and must show a valid driver’s license or picture ID. You must complete all contact information to be eligible to win. Employees of the U-T San Diego and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible. U-T San Diego shall be the sole judge of eligibility and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for any reason. Winners agree to allow use of name and photos by U-T San Diego without further compensation. All entries become the sole property of U-T San Diego and will not be returned. The contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and is void where prohibited. In fairness to all, U-T San Diego cannot discuss the contest by phone, mail or in any other way with the contestants. A single contest may be run on multiple platforms, including our website, tablets, smartphones and Facebook. Odds of winning are the same across platforms. Liking our or our partners’ Facebook Pages does not increase chances of winning.

U-T San Diego reserves the right to change, modify, or extend contest dates if it should be deemed necessary. U-T San Diego reserves the right to suspend or cancel the contest at any time. U-T San Diego assumes no responsibility for injury or loss that may arise from participation in the contest. U-T San Diego assumes no responsibility for computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. U-T San Diego reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this contest, in its entirety or in part should virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond U-T San Diego's control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the contest. U-T San Diego is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest by any technical or human errors, which may occur in the processing of the entries in the contest. U-T San Diego reserves the right to withdraw the transmission of this contest at any time and award the prize from among eligible entries received prior to the date of the withdrawal. U-T San Diego reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the game or website or to be acting in violation of the official rules.
