To enter, complete your submission on the Contest page. In order to complete this submission, some users may be asked to fill out additional information before entering. No purchase is necessary. The contest begins August 19 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on September 2.
PRIZES
50 winners will receive admit-two passes to see 'The Visit' at 7 pm September 8, at AMC Mission Valley. Winners will be chosen randomly from all eligible submissions. All winners will be notified by email by September 3, and must pick up their prize at San Diego Union-Tribune at 350 Camino de la Reina, San Diego, CA 92108. Winners are responsible for paying all applicable local, state and federal taxes. For tax reporting purposes, winners will be required to provide legal name, address and social security number or forfeit prize. San Diego Union-Tribune is not responsible for lost or stolen prizes. All prizes are non-refundable or exchangeable and cash substitutions are not permitted. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited. San Diego Union-Tribune makes no warranty with respect to any prize and reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal of greater value. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries.
ELIGIBILITY
All contestants must be registered users of UTSanDiego.com, residents of
San Diego County and 18 years of age or older, and must show a valid
driver’s license or picture ID. You must complete all contact
information to be eligible to win. You may submit one entry per day. You
may also receive an additional chance to win for each referral you make
via Facebook, Twitter or email using the unique referral link provided
to you after making your entry.
Employees of San Diego Union-Tribune and immediate family members and/or
those living in the same household of each are not eligible. San Diego Union-Tribune
shall be the sole judge of eligibility and reserves the right to
disqualify any entrant for any reason. Winners agree to allow use of
name and photos by San Diego Union-Tribune
without further compensation. The contest is subject to all federal,
state, and local laws and is void where prohibited. In fairness to all, San Diego Union-Tribune
cannot discuss the contest by phone, mail or in any other way with the
contestants. A single contest may be run on multiple platforms,
including our website, tablets, smartphones and Facebook. Odds of
winning are the same across platforms. Liking our or our partners’
Facebook Pages does not increase chances of winning.
OTHER CONDITIONS
San Diego Union-Tribune reserves the right to change, modify or extend contest dates if it should be deemed necessary. San Diego Union-Tribune reserves the right to suspend or cancel the contest at any time. San Diego Union-Tribune assumes no responsibility for injury or loss that may arise from participation in the contest. San Diego Union-Tribune
assumes no responsibility for computer system, phone line, hardware,
software or program malfunctions, delayed computer transmissions or
network connections that are human or technical in nature. San Diego Union-Tribune
reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this
contest, in its entirety or in part should virus, bug, tampering,
unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes
beyond San Diego Union-Tribune's control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the contest. San Diego Union-Tribune
is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information
whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or
programming associated with or utilized in the contest by any technical
or human errors, which may occur in the processing of the entries in the
contest. San Diego Union-Tribune
reserves the right to withdraw the transmission of this contest at any
time and award the prize from among eligible entries received prior to
the date of the withdrawal. San Diego Union-Tribune
reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual
it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the
game or website or to be acting in violation of the official rules.
