OFFICIAL U-T FUEL FOR THE CITY PAY DAY PURSUIT RULES

TO ENTER

To enter, find a new Fuel for the City Payday Pursuit game piece in U-T San Diego every Saturday and Sunday from 4/28/2012-6/17/2012 (the promotional period) at your local retailer or newsstand. Register and enter the unique number on the card at PayDayPursuit.UTSanDiego.com by Tuesday at 5:00 for that week’s game cards. Then look for ten (10) weekly, randomly chosen winning numbers every Friday from 5/4/2012-6/22/2012 on page B2 of the U-T newspaper and online at PayDayPursuit.UTSanDiego.com. Each game piece must be entered online or at the U-T drop box located in the U-T lobby (350 Camino de la Reina, San Diego, CA 92108) or Kearny Mesa FIAT (5155 Convey Street, San Diego, CA 92111) by Tuesday at 5:00 for that week’s game card. Possession of card is required in order to win grand prize or weekly gas prizes. U-T San Diego and Kearny Mesa Fiat not responsible for lost or stolen cards.

• Game cards from weekend 6/9/12-6/10/12 are valid at 12:01 a.m. on 6/9/12 and must be entered by 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. 10 winning numbers will be announced on Friday, June 15, 2012.
  
  
• Game cards from weekend 6/16/12-6/17/12 are valid at 12:01 a.m. on 6/16/12 and must be entered by 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. 10 winning numbers will be announced on Friday, June 22, 2012.
  
  

If the number matches one of the winning numbers on page B2 in Friday’s paper, the player wins $100 in gas. This number is only valid for one (1) week but should be held for the Grand prize FIAT and $1,000 in gas. Weekly winners must have possession of and ability to present winning card for verification and will have 2 weeks to claim $100 gas card.

First 100 people to show up at FIAT every Saturday and Sunday during the promotion and ask for Luigi will receive a bonus card.

Every week day at 1:40pm and 5:40 pm KFMB Jack FM (100.7) will conduct a call-in to win contest for $100 in gas. The 10th caller at the above two times will win $100 in gas and be automatically entered into the Grand Prize drawing. All game cards entered and Jack FM call-in winners are eligible and qualify for the grand prize drawing for the FIAT and $1,000 in gas.

Ten (10) entrants will be randomly chosen for the chance to qualify to win the Grand Prize and will be notified on or about 6/28/2012. Then on July 12, 2012, each of the 10 Grand Prize contestants will need to be present at Kearny Mesa Fiat located at 5155 Convoy Street by 6:30 p.m. for the final random drawing of the Grand Prize. Contestants must have possession of and ability to present qualifying card for verification. On or about 7:00 p.m. on 7/12/12 each of the 10 qualifiers for the Grand Prize will randomly receive a key to start the winning FIAT. Only 1 key will start the FIAT and the person (qualified winner) holding that key wins the Grand Prize.

No purchase or payment of any money is necessary to enter. Purchase will not improve the chances of winning. Home delivery subscribers will find two games pieces in their delivered paper on 4/29/2012 and 5/20/2012. To play Payday Pursuit without purchase, you must pick up a game card at U-T San Diego offices, located at 350 Camino de la Reina, San Diego, CA 92108. Limit one (1) per person per week. Office hours are 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, excluding holidays.

The contest begins at 12:01 a.m. on 4/28/12 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on 6/22/12 (last weekly winners announced)

PRIZES

Ten (10) $100 gas weekly winning numbers will be announced on page B2 in the U-T San Diego and at PayDayPursuit.UTSanDiego.com every Friday from 5/4/12 through 6/22/12.

Two (2) 10th call-in winners will receive $100 in gas every weekday (Monday-Friday) at 1:40pm and 5:40 pm from 4/27/12 through 6/22/12 by Jack FM. Prizes can be claimed at the U-T San Diego lobby 48 hours after be selected the 10th caller.

All game cards and call-in winners will be eligible for Grand Prize drawing. Make sure to hold on to your game cards.

Ten (10) qualified Grand Prize entrants will be randomly selected to show up at Kearny Mesa FIAT on 7/12/2012. Each person will choose a key and only one key will be able to start the winning FIAT.

One (1) of the ten key holders will win the Grand Prize, Fiat from Kearny Mesa Fiat plus $1000 in gas. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is $16,200.

All daily and grand prize winning numbers will be randomly selected. All weekly winners and grand prize winners must bring their winning game card when claiming their prize. All winners must also show valid driver’s license or picture ID when claiming a prize.

$100 in gas will be in the form of a gift card. The grand prize will be a new and unused FIAT and $1,000 in gas.

Vehicle will be a new and unused current year model FIAT 500 Pop Manual Transmission with all of the STD Manufacturers Options. 

Winner has the option to upgrade vehicle and pay Studio for any differences in Price and fees.

Winner will be registered at Kearny Mesa FIAT and will receive all Owner and factory communications as a regular client of the Studio.

• Pay all taxes due, accept and acknowledge that he or she will receive a 1099 for the actual cost of the vehicle.

Vehicle Id # color options are determined by Studio and subject to availability.

The odds of winning the 10 weekly prizes and 1 grand prize vary based on the number of entries received.

Winners are responsible for paying all applicable local, state and federal taxes. For tax reporting purposes, winners will be required to provide legal name, address and social security number or forfeit prize. The U-T San Diego is not responsible for lost or stolen prizes. All prizes are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited. U-T San Diego makes no warranty with respect to any prize and reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal of greater value.

This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited and outside San Diego County. All contestants must be 18 years of age or older as of the beginning of the Sweepstakes Period. You must complete all contact information to be eligible to win. Employees of U-T San Diego, Kearny Mesa Fiat, KFMB 100.7 JACK FM, and Internet Broadcast Systems, their agencies, distributors, and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible. U-T San Diego shall be the sole judge of eligibility and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for any reason. Winners agree to allow use of name and photos by U-T San Diego, Kearny Mesa Fiat and KFMB 100.7 JACK FM without further compensation. The contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and is void where prohibited. In fairness to all, U-T San Diego and KFMB 100.7 JACK FM cannot discuss the contest by phone, mail or in any other way with the contestants.
